Dräger DrugTest® 5000 The Dräger DrugTest® 5000 consists of two components: the analyser Dräger DrugTest 5000 Analyser and the sampling system Dräger DrugTest 5000 Test-Kit. The test kit is a handy test cassette with a sampling stick. The protective cap is removed from the sampling stick and the test cassette is handed to the person being tested and they then collect the sample themselves, until the integrated indicator shows a blue discolouration and thus enough material has been collected. Usually this takes about one minute, four minutes at most. The encapsulated test cassette ensures no contact with the saliva sample. Now the test cassette and the cartridge are pushed into the analyser for evaluation. The analysis is started automatically. The result is displayed in a few minutes in complete sentences. This way, misinterpretations are excluded as far as possible. The results can be extended with manual data via the external keyboard, saved or printed directly with the Dräger Mobile Printer. The Dräger DrugTest 5000 shows a high level of agreement with blood samples and the detection limits valid in Germany. This was confirmed by a field test conducted by the German Police University. In addition, the DrugTest 5000 has an extremely low detection limit for THC as the main active ingredient of cannabis. Weighing only 4.5 kg, the Dräger DrugTest® 5000 Analyser is easily transportable and easy to operate even when wearing tactical gloves.
