The Dräger Interlock® 7500 consists of two components: the handset and the control unit. Before the engine is started, the meter prompts the driver to perform a breath test. Only after the test has been passed does the control unit release the vehicle's starter and the engine can be started.
A module for mobile data transfer with antenna is also available for the Interlock® 7000. If such a module for mobile data transfer is legally required in the legislated Alcohol Interlock® Programme it can transfer data automatically to the responsible authority.
