Dräger DrugCheck® 3000

The Dräger DrugCheck® 3000 is a handy saliva-based rapid drug test. The DrugCheck 3000 is so compact that it fits in any pocket and can therefore be used anywhere. The test can be done quickly and hygienically, so you can soon find out whether someone is possibly under the influence of drugs.

The Dräger DrugCheck 3000 consists of two components: a sampler for collecting a saliva sample and a test cassette for analysis. The test cassette contains the buffer fluid and a viewing area with two test strips on which the control and test lines appear. The drug test is performed in three simple steps: First, a saliva sample is collected in the subject's mouth. Then the sampler is inserted into the test cassette and the test kit is shaken. A colour indicator on the sampler decolourises as soon as it has collected enough saliva for drug screening. Now the result can be read in the viewing window.

Six drug groups can be detected with the DrugCheck 3000 test kit: Cocaine, opiates, amphetamine, methamphetamines (e.g. ecstasy, MDMA), benzodiazepines and cannabis (THC). Of the substance classes listed, cannabis is the most commonly used drug with the most difficult active ingredient to detect (THC = delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). For this reason, the DrugCheck 3000 has been optimised for the THC test and now allows two measurement options: Depending on the selected waiting time (pre-incubation) of the test, a fast measurement option with a higher, or a sensitive measurement option with a lower THC limit (cut-off). Depending on the method, the test takes about three to five minutes.

Dräger has decades of experience in alcohol measurement technology and drug detection methods. With the DrugCheck 3000, Dräger uses the test principle of the proven Dräger DrugTest® 5000 system, which reliably detects even the smallest amounts of THC. The disposable DrugCheck 3000 test kit is tamper-proof and hygienic to use.
