Dräger Alcotest® 5000 The Dräger Alcotest® 5000 breath-alcohol tester allows for numerous tests in a very short time. With the Alcotest® 5000 you can test up to 12 people per minute. This is an enormous advantage, especially for large-scale police operations or entrance controls, for example at factory gates or in stadiums. In the event of a positive test result, exact per mille values can then be determined with appropriate alcohol testers if required. In order to bridge a greater distance to a test subject, e.g. a lorry driver in his cab, the Alcotest® 5000 has a "¼" thread on the back of the device for attaching a standard selfie stick. This speeds up the sampling process. In addition, the Dräger Alcotest® 5000 eliminates the need to put on and take off new mouthpieces, as the alcohol test is performed without any physical contact with the test person, as a sample is simply blown into a funnel. The special funnel attachment of the Dräger Alcotest® 5000 prevents the back-flow of the subject's own expired air and the inhalation of any pathogens from previous test subjects and thus prevents the risk of possible infections of subsequent test persons. After use, the funnel attachment can be easily replaced, providing the assurance of a hygienic solution. All measuring functions of the breathalyser can be conveniently controlled with one button. Two additional arrow buttons are used to navigate through the menu. For example, the last test results can be viewed or an individual language of the menu can be set. The instructions for the test procedure are visible on the display in a language-neutral manner by means of symbols. The Alcotest® 5000 can perform over 5,000 tests with just one set of batteries.
